So it begins...

I'm excited! Through the post this week, I received some of my tools to help me on my plastic free journey! These Bee's Wrap wraps will hopefully replace cling film in my kitchen and my lunchbox. They smell a bit funny to begin with... a little bit like honey in fact. They're made from cotton, some oils and resins as well as the obvious bee's wax. I used them to wrap my sandwich for lunch today and I'm impressed with how fresh they kept the sandwich! Not very expensive and can be reused!

I've bought a large bread wrap one so I can go the baker's and avoid plastic wrapping on my bread! I've already used one to wrap up some cheese in the fridge.

Also included in my package is a little reusable mug for Mr A who buys a coffee on the train most mornings. The Keep Cup is made from glass with a cork handle. I've already got a little Pokito foldable cup which I love and use at weekends or when on holiday as I have filter coffee at school. I'm hoping that he'll use it instead of the paper cups (that aren't recyclable!)

He's also made a Google map with local butchers, greengrocers and bakers so that we can try to buy our food without all the plastic! Our weekends will be full of finding ways to buy our food without the single-use plastic!
